Some UK banks, most notable Natwest and HSBC, do allow customers to login to their account with their fingerprint. The requirement for the customer is to have either an Android or Apple smartphone, and the banks mobile app (software application) installed on it. The Apple or Android smartphone will also need to have the following software installed on it:
Apple Touch ID has been installed onto the following Apple iPhone versions: iPhone 5S, iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The Android Fingerprint software is available on the following smartphone models: Google Pixel, Google Pixel XL, Google Pixel 2, Google Pixel 2 XL, Samsung Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge, Samsung Galaxy S6 edge plus, Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, Samsung Galaxy S8, Samsung Galaxy S8 plus, Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S9, Samsung Galaxy S9 plus. The two fingerprint systems are shown below:

Setting up a biometrics fingerprint login will differ with each banking app -- the Natwest app can be downloaded from the Google store -- but, judging from instructions published online by the banks, the process looks to be straightforward, and is simple a matter of selecting the option of either logging in with a fingerprint or a passcode.
