Windows NT is an operating system similar to Windows 95, 98 but offer computer networking facilities as well. Windows NT is a competitor to other networking operating systems such as UNIX and Novell Netware and you will find many local area networks (LAN's) using Windows NT. You can buy Windows NT for about £500 and therefore it is quite a cheap networking operating system to use. As it is new compared to networking operating systems like UNIX it means that not all security loop holes may have been found in Windows NT.
