User is the term used to describe the person / persons who will use a computer. If a software company is designing a new computer game, web site, operating system, hardware peripheral or any other computer component then they will say they are designing it for users. Web sites owners and webmasters will always describe the people browsing their web sites as users. Other terms such as "user-friendly" have sprung up to describe computer software or hardware that has been designed to be easy to understand for the user.
