Spam is when data is duplicated and continually sent to users on the Internet. Spam can come in the form of email being sent to thousands of addresses. They usually sell or promote something. Spam can also be multiple web pages with duplicate content, which are then submitted to search engines. Many email clients have now installed filters to block the spam. Search engines are also in a contant battle to delete duplicated content.
