A spam filter is a software program designed to work in coordination with a email program such as Outlook Express to help block email spam messages. Spam is email messages that are automatically created and sent to numerous email addresses usually advertising a product or service for sale. A spam filter makes sure these messages are block, but can sometimes block messages that are not spam.
