Silicon Valley is often thought of as the home of computer / technology companies. Based in northern California USA, Silicon Valley has some of the major computer companies based their such as Apple computers. In the UK you may have heard of Silicon Glen which is a smaller version of Silicon Valley but based in Scotland. You will most likely find the majority of major Internet companies have some sort of base in Silicon Valley.
