Shortcut's are a popular part of Windows operating systems such as Windows 95, 98 and ME. A shortcut is an icon placed on the desktop of Windows so that people can access programs quicker. Without a shortcut a user will have to click on the start menu and then navigate to the programs sub-menu and then navigate the program they want to load up. With a shortcut it avoids all this wasted time and effect.
