For those not in the know, Lacoste were founded and popular in
the 70's as a tennis brand, making T-shirts and shorts for tennis
players. I decided it was about time to fork out some of my money
for a new pair trainers. I required something which was nice to
wear, look goods but not in an over the top fashion. I browsed along
the lines at my local JJB and was soon put off by all the fancy
are garish designs, pumps, air bubbles and what nots. Just about
the only brand which sold a nice selection of stylish white trainers
with a little discrete logo was Lacoste, the price was also under
£50. I've now been using the trainers for maybe a month and
I must admit they are very comfortable once broken in, before this
period they were chafing on the top of my foot. However after two
weeks or so the leather became more subtle and my feet did not feel
so squashed in the shoe. It's now improved to the condition when
I walk, the sole has so much impact protection I hardly feel my
foot hitting the ground.

There stuff is reasonably priced, and the quality is pretty good,
I have usually visited sports store like jjb to find them, the staff
are friendly and it's a good service, also have a great kids range.
The styles can be boring at times for kids, no fancy patterns or
air bubbles, but for adults I like their unstated designs and plain
white trainers with just their famous croc logo. If you're a hip
and fashion concious parent then buy your kids lacoste over the
likes of nike, your kids might find much of their stuff quite bland
and too simple but at least they dont look like little thugs. Lacosts
maybe going that way, and some may say thats not neccessarily a
bad thing. I hope they retain their french style and dont go americano.
