This is the automatic transfer of a user from one web site page to another. If you click a link going to a certain web site page and it then automatically goes from that page to another, this is called a redirect. A redirect may be used by a web site if they have changed the web site page that contains the information the user is looking for. Redirects can sometimes however be used to confuse users and send them to places they don't want to go to i.e., adult related web sites.
