Monitor screen displays are made up of pixels, with the more pixels being displayed by a monitor the better the screen display quality (pixels are very close together and therefore seem connected, the more pixels the smaller these gaps are and the better the connection seems). Older colour monitors could display thousands of pixels with modern day monitors capable of displaying millions of pixels. A monitor arranges pixels in rows and columns.
