A Newsfeed is a process used by web sites where they import news from other sources. For example web sites like Yahoo receive newsfeed's from companies such as Reuters. The point of a newsfeed is that it allows web sites like Yahoo to display news content at their site without the need to create it. Usually it will cost a web site like Yahoo "X" amount of money to have a newsfeed from Reuters.
