A Newbie is Internet slang for someone who is a beginner to the Internet. A Newbie can be applied to anyone is who is inexperienced to a certain function of the Internet. For example somebody could be an experienced Internet user but would be a newbie to creating PHP scripts if they have little experience of PHP.
