N/A stands for "Not Applicable" and is a term usually found at web sites for reviewing products and services. For example if a web site is reviewing a music cd and they don't know which country it orignates from, they will usually put N/A. Basically it means the information isn't available. Even though N/A is widely used on the Internet, it isn't a acronym only used on the Internet.
