A link farm is a web site that only includes a list of links to other web sites. A link farm will offer no useful content except for link to other sites and can be confused with a directory web site. A directory should offer a more structured and descriptive system than a link farm. The main point of creating a link farm is gaining links from other web sites and therefore increasing page rank for search engines such as Google.
