There 'Strata' balls are priced at the lower end of the price bracket, I've found them hard wearing and with the ability to spin on occasion. They do have quite a soft surface so can mark easily, but for the summer months when the greens are extremely hard it will perform flawlessly.

I have also become a fan of their 'Strata' balls, I've been a regular golfer for over a decade so have tried various balls - as the years have gone by my handicap has become reasonable, and I put some of this down to picking softer balls, yes they will not give the same distance, last as long and do mark easily but I love the extra control and feel on the greens. The strata is a cheap ball so I use it for practice only, for a club match I would demand more distance and pick the Titleist Pro V1x series of balls. After a few thin shots and maybe two rounds a ball will be un-useable really, the cover will be scuffed with marks and dints. For around £20 however I like them.
