Ben Sayer was one of the game most famous golfers, born in 1856
in Leith he became one of the first professional players in 1872
and later went into business as a golf ball maker and designed golf
courses like Moffat. His son went on to design to design clubs like
the ground breaking dreadnought driver and made the first loft and
lie machines. This helped the swing rate, they also introduced the
first carbon shafts which were used by many of the top tour players.

The clubs sell at competitive prices, good looking drivers even
if a little on the large size. I recently purchased a Forged Ti
driver and touch wood I've been hitting the ball consistently straight
down the middle of the fairway. I'd say it provides around 15% extra
distance than my previous driver, it does make an odd noise on impact
but the usability inspires confidence after a few rounds. I have
never been a great driver from the first tee, my confidence always
wavered, especially if a small crowd appeared. I have however slowly
grown to look forward to the experience, not quaking in my shoes
like before. It's a light club to hold, which is maybe not to everyone's
taste, but I would certainly recommend it to high handicappers like
myself.
