A command included on Windows and Dos operating systems for creating partitions on a hard disk. Fdisk can delete and create primary and secondary partitions on a hard disk and is therefore a very powerful and dangerous command to use (you can wipe a hard disk). You will need to use Fdisk to set up a primary partition before you can format it.
