One of the top casual football labels, created by an Italian Massimo
Osti and Englishman Paul Harvey. They have been in the stone washing
process since 1982 and also founded the other popular casual label
'CP Company'. The jumpers and coats have now become widely popular
due to there connection to the casual scene and football hooligans
in particular. This has begun to make the brand somewhat chav like,
reminiscent of the burberry scarves and caps.

The Stone Island compass has been a witness at many infamous football
rucks. Watch any undercover hooligan docu or BBC news news footage
and you will see plenty of lads sporting this label. As an update
to previous post Paul Harvey took over from Massimo Osti as designer.
Massimo has gone on to design for Levi, so it's no surprise many
of there latest jeans and jackets etc have the stone washed material
and similar designs to Stone Island gear. Wear this brand to any
football match now and it's link to hooliganism will soon get you
the attention of the old bill. Maybe this fact will see Stone Island
only worn by the wannabes.
