I remember Liverpool FC once wearing a set of Paul Smith cream
suits for the FA Cup final, one of the most embarassing moments
in fashion football history :), but there are plenty of those. David
Beckham in a skirt comes to mind. It was a shame for Paul Smith
to get such a bad rep. because of it, because his clothing always
feels of a very high quality and usually stylish. Typically I end
up buying most of my PS items when they end up in the sale, usually
at half the price. They have a lot of plain clothing so this works
well, because plain items rarely go out of fashion unlike those
with patterns. He also has a set of funky t-shirts, and the few
of his shops i have visted are well laid out and staff are always
on hand. Therefore they are not snooty when asking if you would
like assistance. Likewise the changing rooms are also well laid
out and a good size with excellent lighting and dare I say it flattering
mirrors. In the past I have never felt the need to return any items
such is the quality.
