Lambretta are one of the manufacturers responsible for moped/scooter
craze of the 60's. They were later made a 60's style icon after
featuring in the Quadrophenia movie about the Mod lifestyle of 1964-5.
The clothing arm of the company now sells fairly expensive polo
shirts, formal shirts and sweatshirts. I guess they are following
the example of Caterpillar another manufacturing firm who successfully
launched clothing arm. What do I think of the designs?, not much
if I am being honest. They have aimed squarely at the chav/casual/burberry
market and have no original designs. They are quite expensive, so
it may help the brand retain some exclusivity. Personally I would
not be seen dead in a T-shirt with the printed circle logo.
