I have had a love-hate relationship with this brand, I bought a jacket from them years ago with pretty much feel apart in the wash. I returned it to the shop and refused a replacement, never again was my sentiments. Years and years past and more and more kudos and sales seem to stick to this brand, fools I thought, cash laden empty headed fools.

When payday came six months ago I decided to brave the pre-Christmas shopping rush and visit oxford street. I desperately needed a new coat for the winter months, which just leak a pint of water during a downfall of rain. Tempting as many shops were I decided against a nice new pink top, black trouser, shirt, shoes, or even a handbag for my gf lol.....oooooh I love it all, but oh no I have to buy a sensitive and dull winter coat.

I finally visited a huge JJb store after little success at numerous outlets, I described my predicament to the shop assistant. And guess what? he pointed me towards a bunch of Berghaus coats, oh no I cried, aren't they shapeless tents made out of nylon I ventured?. Where are the normal clothes for normal people, who don't want to look like a nerdy rambler.

He digressed, explained the benefits of the brand and how many of fashion conscious youngsters were even wearing them. I wavered somewhat, and noticed they were quite cheap too. Perfect I thought, pressured again into buying somewhat I didn't want.

But egg of face, the coat has lasted the winter with aplomb, and has satisfied my every wim. Like running through the rain with a macabre grin.

Oooooooh anyone going shopping?
