FAQ is short for "frequently asked questions". This is a page or section at a web site that provides answers to commonly asked questions. For example a web site that sells music cds may include a FAQ page that has answers to questions such as delivery times, how to order, what credit cards do they accept, do they accept cheques by post, what security do they use for payments and so on.
