A doorway domain is a web site that created solely for the purpose of generating traffic to another web site. For example a company may have a sports web site that sells a range of sports products, this company may then create another web site with information about golf balls that includes links to the sports product web site to buy golf balls from. The golf ball web site would therefore be classed as a doorway domain.
