Conversion Rate is a term that refers to the amount of people who visit a web site and perform a specific task. For example if 1000 people visit a web site and 100 of them provide a email address for a newsletter program, then the conversion rate would be 10%. Conversion rates are most commonly talked about in relation to affiliate programs and product sales on an e-commerce web site.
