A chip is a tiny hardware module that is included on circuit boards such as memory, soundcards, video cards and modums. The most well known chip in a computer is a CPU / Processor such as a Intel Pentium processor or an AMD processor. A chip is made from a silicon or sapphire wafer, which is cut to size and then etched with circuits and electronic devices.
