An alt tag is a html tag that is writtern "alt="internet guide". Alt tags are usually attached to a graphic image so that when the graphic is loaded into the browser and a user hovers the cursor over the graphic, text will be displayed. For example if you hover the cursor over the Internet Guide image on his page in the top left hand corner it should display "internet guide". Alt tags can be picked up by search engine spiders and can help the ranking of a web site page.
