It's a picture enhancement technology from Sony. It's been designed specifically for their LCD and plasma TVs, and also Liquid Crystal Displays (LCD) CRT televisions. The first televisions with built-in Wega Engine were launched in the summer of 2002. The The Wega Engine has been developed to improve on the Wega Trinitron technology.
