RSS

RSS is short for "Really Simple Syndication". RSS is a data feed which is growing rapidly in popularity, and is included by many news websites like the BBC, Guardian, New York Times and CNN. A RSS feed from say the Guardian website will include information from all it's web pages.

To beable to use a RSS feed you need a program called a news reader. You can search Google and download news readers such as,

  • Newz Crawler
  • FeedDemon
  • Awasu

Then you subscribe to the RSS feeds you want. You do this by visiting a web page such as http://news.bbc.co.uk/ and clicking on the below RSS icon,

Then you will have access to the majority of information on that website whilst being off-line.
