During the mid to late 1990's Northern Light was one of the highest volume search engines on the web. But due to competition from companies like Google it's fortunes seem to have faded away. The Northern Light website (2006) is now no longer a search engine and states the company "provides search and content integration technology and solutions for enterprises and individuals". It seems they have now entered the corporate/business sector and are now no longer a mass market search provider.
