The Gmail service was launched on 1 April 2004. As of 19/10/05 the service is officially still in "beta" testing stages. Google's Gmail e-mail account is free, comes with over 2.6 Gigabyte of storage space. This allows users to view their e-mail with all messages on a single subject linked together. Because the service is free Google analyses their e-mail messages, and then places small context driven internet links next to their mail.
