DVI is short for Digital Visual Interface. It's a standard interface
created by the Digital Display Working Group (DDWG). The interface
is used by electronics manufacturers to convert analog signals into
digital signals, this is used by devices such as LCD digital monitors.
You will find many modern monitors are now coming with a 'DVI' port
to connect to your video card. With just a single plug and connector
it helps to encompass both the new digital VGA interfaces. Technically
DVI can handle a massive amount of bandwidth, easily in excess of
160 MHz, which means it supports both UXGA and HDTV.
