Bluetooth uses a short range radio wave to allow mobile devices
like PDAs and Phones to exchange data over a secure unlicensed frequency.
It's currently controlled by a special
interest group, who help to develop a standard specification
protocol. The first protocol was created in 1994 by Ericsson employees
Jaap Haartsen and Sven Mattisson. There have been security flaws,
which has led to fears that disclosure of personal data could be
possible. The microwave frequencies are also the same strength of
those found in mobile phones, this has led to fears of the same
health risks.
